Ushba (اُشْبَہ / Ushba Maghrabi) is a classical blood-purifying and demulcent drug used for skin diseases, itching, joint pain, piles, syphilis and related conditions. It is the chief ingredient of the well-known Unani formulation Majoon Ushba.
Indications-
Blood-purifier (muhallil/munaffith al-dam),
Diaphoretic,
Demulcent,
Diuretic,
Anti-inflammatory and tonic;
Used internally for skin eruptions, syphilis, chronic cough and arthralgia
applied externally for swellings and joint pain.
Dose-
20-30 ml twice daily
